"As far as using the Sunny Days, Healthy Ways curriculum I found it very teacher friendly, very easy to implement, very age-appropriate, and it was straight forward. Many of my parents told me that since I started teaching Sunny Days, Healthy Ways lessons they no longer had to fight with their kids to use sunscreen. In fact, the kids reminded the parents to put sunscreen on and to reapply. I liked the curriculum so much, I plan to use it again this year."

"Among all the types of cancer, skin cancer is the most common yet ironically the most preventable. Starting early in life, if children learn to protect themselves from sun damage, it will substantially reduce their risk for skin cancer. To meet this educational challenge, SDHW provides a very well researched and thorough curriculum which introduces the specific methods of sun protection in their correct order of importance. For significant results, young children should review sun safety at least once each year. By providing individual modules for each of the K - 5 grades, SDHW enables teachers at each grade level to present these important principles without duplication from the prior year. As a dermatologist who treats way too many skin cancer patients, and as the director of a comprehensive sun safety program for schools, I most highly recommend the SDHW materials."
